Incredible India App is a innovative project of Ministry of Tourism to assist the international and domestic tourist to access information about Ministry of Tourism recognized tourism service providers namely approved Inbound Tour Operator, Travel Agents, Domestic Tour Operator, Adventure Tour Operator, Tourist Tour Operator, classified hotels and approved Regional Level Tourist Guides available in respective cities / Tourist centers. Details of the same will be shared via this application to the tourists on their mobile phones based on their current location. Tourist can also query similar details for any other city he plans to travel to in future. In addition to this the application will provide places of interest .This will help the tourist in seeking services from Government of India recognized service providers and receive quality & reliable services from them.

Post Info Mobile App:-

Postinfo - Department Posts Android Mobile Application. Postinfo, the citizen centric android Mobile application of Department of Posts developed by Centre for Excellence in Postal Technology .
The app provides the following facilities:- 
  1. Tracking
  2. Post office search
  3. Postage Calculator
  4. Insurance premium calculator
  5. Interest calculator
Brief description of each facility is given below;


The tracking facility is made available on this mobile app for the following types of mail items.
• Speed Post
• Registered Letter
• Insured Letter
• Value Payable Letter
• Insured Value Payable Letter
• Registered Packets
• Registered Periodicals
• Registered Parcel
• Insured Parcel
• Value Payable Parcel
• Insured Value Payable Parcel
• Business Parcel
• Business Parcel COD
• Express Parcel
• Express Parcel COD
• Electronic Money Order (e-MO)

The users can view the status of the above mentioned type of articles by entering the articles number and touching the Track button. The following additional facilities are also available.

• Save the results for future reference
• Share it with others through Android native sharing apps viz. Bluetooth, WhatsApp, Facebook etc.


By entering first four character of the name of the Post office or by entering the Pin code of the office the users can get a list of matching Post offices. By clicking again on the row the user gets the details like Name of Post office, Street address (location), contact details of the Post office (where ever available) for the selected Post office. The name of the Division and contact details of the Divisional Superintendent (where ever available), details of Regional Postmaster General and the Chief Postmaster General will also displayed.  


The app will calculate the Postage (tariff) to be paid for all types of articles based on the weight entered by the user. The unique feature of the Postage Calculator is that in single query it shows the tariff chargeable for the following items..
• Ordinary letter
• Speed post Domestic (Domestic Speed Post Tariff depends on distance between place of origin and destination).
• Registered letter
• Ordinary Parcel
• Registered Parcel
• Registered book packet
• Registered book packet containing Printed books
• Ordinary Registered book packet

• Book packet containing Registered News papers  
• Based on tariff there are 5 slabs of tariff viz. local, up to 200 KM, 201 to 1000 KM, and 1001 to 2000KM and above 2000KM. The calculator shows the tariff for all categories.


The Department is offering various types of Life Insurance Policies through Postal Life Insurance and Rural Postal Life Insurance. The users can check the premium payable for all the eligible types of Postal /Rural Postal Life insurance Policies on the basis of the input entered.


Post office is offering different types of Small Savings Schemes as mentioned below:
• Sukanya Samriddhi yojaana
• Recurring Deposit
• Time Deposit (1 year, 2 year, 3 year and 5 year)
• Monthly Income Scheme
• Senior Citizen Savings Scheme • National Savings Certificate
• Kisan Vikas Patra.

Khoya Paya

KhoyaPaya is a citizen centric portal for the missing and vulnerable children, where any citizen can register with the portal and provide information about a missing or sighted child, without waiting to complete the legal formalities. The information supplied by the citizen would be made available for public view after quick moderation, thereby saving the valuable time. The citizen can further do searching of the database of the children by matching the attributes of the lost/sighted child. This also considerably reduces the time for the relevant information to reach the affected citizen. The mobile app facilitates the user in providing details of sighted children.


M-Kavach is a comprehensive mobile device security solution for Android devices addressing threats related to mobile phones. It addresses threats related to malware that steal personal data & credentials, misuse WiFi and Bluetooth resources, lost or stolen mobile device, spam SMSs, premium-rate SMSs and unwanted unsolicited incoming calls.


Recently launched by the government, this app allows users to track the progress of rural electrification initiative in the country. The application features a dashboard providing details about the villages that have received access to electricity, and villages that are yet to get the same. You can also track villages by state and key information such as progress made in the last one month.

Voter Name Search (Internet):-

A voter can check whether his/her name has been included in the electoral roll of the constituency and can also find out the polling station using this application. The application fetches the information over the mobile internet.

mPassport Seva:-

Passport Seva Project, being executed by Consular, Passport and Visa (CPV) division of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India, aims at providing all the Passport-related services to the Indian Citizens in a speedy, convenient and transparent manner.
This is one of the largest projects of the Government of India under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) being executed in public-private-partnership mode with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as the private partner.
The project is already operational and servicing citizens through 77 Passport Seva Kendras across India.
MEA with a view to provide mobile enablement of public services, has launched a Mobile Application ‘mPassport Seva’ to offer a wide variety of services to smartphone users such as Passport application status tracking, locating the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) and general information on various steps involved in obtaining a Passport. More information can be obtained from the official website: www.passportindia.gov.in
